We had a great time at our hands-on, interactive Autobody Learning Camp at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina, where our students were introduced to career pathways and further training opportunities in the autobody industry.
The camp gave students the chance to connect with Saskatchewan Polytechnic instructors, shadow current certificate and apprenticeship students, and tour the training facilities. Throughout the day, students rolled up their sleeves and engaged in a variety of practical workstations—including virtual paint simulation, sheet metal prep, body filler application and sanding, panel repair, front-end disassembly and replacement, and more.
This experience was made possible through the generous support of our partners at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the Saskatchewan Association of Automotive Repairers (SAAR). We’re looking forward to offering additional Learning Camps in the upcoming school year.
If you’re curious about an autobody repair career, our Autobody 10, A20, and B20 courses are a great place to start! We start with the basics then move to intermediate and more advanced topics and skills. You will have the opportunity to gain on-the-job work experience and apply your knowledge at a local autobody dealership.
Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre provides Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses to Saskatchewan students who choose to study online. We empower students and families to choose the learning environment that works best for them, while supporting their graduation plan.
